This is the official listing of the candidates. Candidatesʻ bio and pictures will be shared within the next week. Stay tune!
Elections will be done via e-mail vote, your UH e-mail account. You will be able to cast your vote on Monday, Oct 2 thru Thursday, Oct 5.
UHWO students who have paid the student government fees will be sent an e-mail to vote in the ASUHWO Special Elections.

ASUHWO 12th Senate - Fall 2023 Special Elections Elected & Appointed Candidate Application

The ASUHWO is Seeking UHWO students to serve on the ASUHWO Senate aka student government. Read and review thoroughly.
About ASUHWO
The purpose of the Associated Students of the University of Hawai´i – West O´ahu (ASUHWO) shall be to provide democratic representation for the students of the University of Hawai´i – West O´ahu and to promote student participation in education, cultural, and social and community activities, with emphasis on focused student advocacy.
Eligibility
All candidates must be an enrolled student of the University of Hawai´i – West O´ahu and for at least six (6) credit hours on campus. This credit status must be maintained throughout the term of office. Candidates must have an institutional GPA of at least a 2.5 for Senate positions or 3.0 for Executive Board and Caucus Delegate positions.

• Announcement of Unofficial Results || Friday, October 6
• Electionsʻ Results Ratification at Senate Meeting || October General Senate Meeting (to be determined)
• Elected students begin office || Immediately after ratification at General Senate Meeting

Mandatory Candidate Orientation Briefing (for Elected Positions only)
All candidates must attend ONE of the Candidate Orientation Briefings (Online via Zoom) scheduled on:
• Monday, September 11, at 12:30pm, 2:00pm
• Tuesday, September 12, at 5:30pm
• Wednesday, September 13, at 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm
If you are unable to attend the briefing, contact ASUHWO Advisor, Rouel Velasco (rouel@hawaii.edu), prior to the meeting dates to make alternate arrangements. Failure to attend will result in disqualification.
