Hello, I am Gerald Mance. I was born and raised here on Oahu and went to Mililani High. Right out of high school I joined the Air Force and served 8 years as a FireFighter before getting out to now I am finishing up my bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing. A little about me, I have a lot of hobbies from creating art to lifting weights to playing games and many more. If I am appointed Senior Class Senator, I will do my best to understand the needs of the Senior class and bring it to the attention of board. I am a hard working individual who enjoys helping others. Also I have been told I look intimidating but I promise I am a friendly person. If you see me around the campus, feel free to come up and say hello.

Senior Class Senator
Alyssa Neri
Aloha! My name is Alyssa Neri, I am a BUSA student here at UHWO and I want to run to be the Senior Class Senator. Many of you may not know me, but I want to take this as an opportunity to get myself out there and use my ideas to contribute to our student body. I moved to O'ahu from San Diego when I was 17 years old and I currently live in Makaha. Over the years taking so many amazing courses through UH institutions, I have acquired tons of interests including in politics, agriculture, business, and fashion. I finally decided to go into the Business Administration major at UHWO and now I hope to own my own eco-friendly business in the near future. I am an environment loving vegan surfer and I would love to use this role as Senior Class Senator to make climate change and environmental awareness a focus of the 2019-2020 campus agenda. I am campaigning because I want not only our senior class, but the entire UHWO student body to feel informed, empowered, and most importantly as if their skills and abilities are truly being used to make this world a better place. I hope to meet as many UHWO students as I can over the coming year and I hope we can all work together to accomplish all of our many goals.

Hello, my name is Cassie. Actually my name is Cassandra. I am a Freshman at UH West Oahu running for Freshman Class Senator and I originally come from the North Shore of Oahu. I enjoy watching anime and listening to KPOP in my free time. My goal as your class senator is to help spread aloha to both current and potential UHWO students. As a person with a disability, I want to help welcome students of all kinds and create rallies on current issues to spread awareness on other students, including the decision to keep the TMT off Mauna Kea. In addition, I also want to help potential UHWO students by providing them with the resources that they need to transition to college. After I graduate from college with my Bachelor's in Information Security and Assurance, I plan to obtain a job at Hawaiian Airlines in the IT department. Being Class Senator will allow me to not only get involved and help others within the community, but will also help me gain the leadership skills I need for my future career. Thank you for reading.

Aloha mai kākou My name is Keola and I am currently a Senior working on a double concentration in the Humanities. As I begin the final stretch of this journey here at UH West O`ahu I would like to give back to those who have helped to fill my experience with creativity, kindness and friendship. As a Veteran, Combat Medic and once a Nursing Assistant I am no stranger to serving others. My choice to run for Humanities Senator would allow me great opportunity to work with students from each class and provide me with a chance to address a broader platform of my peers. E mālama pono

The purpose of the humanities is to cultivate the individual through an understanding of beauty and the good which in turn cultivates society at large. The humanities is an important vehicle for teaching empathy and as a Humanities major with a concentration in English and Philosophy I have a sincere interest to serve the student community. Because of my involvement with the school newspaper, Pueo Leadership and through enrollment in various classes in the Humanities major I am a familiar face around campus which will help students feel comfortable approaching me with any concerns and grievances. I would be an awesome member of the ASUHWO not because I have the loudest voice, or am the most popular but because I understand the responsibilities of the position and know that participation is essential to accomplishing our goals. As the Humanities senator I would like to showcase more student work on campus whether it be through library readings or art exhibitions. I also plan to host workshops and painting events that serve as social outings for students while they create a painting from start to finish. Let’s learn, socialize and enrich our lives together.
